They don\u2019t call it the City of Brotherly Love for nothing. However, with so many events out there, how does one know which event to choose? Ultimately, you\u2019ll want to choose a cause that is near and dear to your heart, but if you just want to give back in any way you can, Hussain al Nowais has provided a list of several key events. Although he doesn\u2019t have too much time since he\u2019s a full-time student, Hussain al Nowais tries to give back when he can. You might find him at one of the events below in the month of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 5<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Lime Light Gala<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer in some capacity, and one of the most deadly forms of cancer is blood cancer. In fact, according to the HEADstrong Foundaton, every four minutes a person will be diagnosed with a blood cancer, and a person will lose his or her battle with the disease every ten minutes. HEADstrong was founded by Nicholas \u201cHead\u201d Colleluori who endured a fourteen month battle with B-cell non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma before ultimately losing the battle. In honor of Nicholas, the foundation has raised over $6 million, and the Lime Light Gala is one of the biggest philanthropic events in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Lime Light Gala will take place on March 13, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn\u2019s Landing. The event starts at 6:30, and there will be food, a silent auction, speaker presentations, awards, and more. You can learn more about HEADstrong <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20251010123729\/http:\/\/headstrong.org\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Red Ball<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Otherwise known as the \u201cparty with a purpose,\u201d the Red Ball is held every year to help raise money for the Red Cross House \u2013 Center for Disaster Recovery. The Red Cross House is responsible for helping displaced individuals and families from disasters get back on their feet and transition back to normalcy. The Red Cross House has helped countless people through housing, regular meals, ongoing consultation, and more.
